Project Jelly Roll Day – Star Flower Quilt
Join us on Saturday, September 19, as we celebrate Project Jelly Roll Day with Moda Fabrics! It’s the perfect excuse to grab a favorite Jelly Roll, spend the day sewing, and see just how much quilting fun can come from those irresistible little 2½" strips!
This year we’ll be making Star Flower, a beautiful Jelly Roll-friendly quilt pattern from Moda Fabrics. With its striking star-inspired design, Star Flower is a wonderful way to let the colors and prints in your Jelly Roll do the work while you enjoy the fun of putting it all together.
We’ll spend the day working through the pattern together, with plenty of instruction, helpful piecing tips, and assistance along the way. Whether you’ve been saving the perfect Jelly Roll for just the right project or need an excuse to pick out a new one, this is it!
And because a full day of quilting requires sustenance, lunch is included! Even better, everyone registered for the class will receive the Star Flower pattern FREE, courtesy of Project Jelly Roll.

Supplies:
- Basic sewing supplies
- Cutting mat, rotary cutter, and 24” ruler
- Sewing machine in good working condition with ¼” foot
- Thread to match your fabric for piecing
- Fork pins.
Fabric (measures 66” x 66”):
- 1 Jelly Roll or (36) 2.5” x 42” strips
- 3-1/3 yards for background or 1 Jelly Roll plus ½ yard of coordinating solid
- 1/2 yard for binding.
Class Preparation:
There is a lot of precutting for this class. Completing this prior to class will ensure you have the maximum amount of time in class to complete several of the blocks. Please come prepared.
