Serger Spectacular Workshop

This workshop is for you:

• If you have ever thought about buying a serger but weren't sure if you would "really" use it.
• If you have always wondered what a serger can do for you.
• If you want to get more out of the serger you have.
• If you have more sewing projects than time.
• This event is for "everyone!"  No serger experience required.

What's included:

• All fabrics and threads for your serger reference library/workbook
• Use of the Husqvarna Viking Amber Air S600 serger and all of the accessory feet you will be using in class
• Lunch for all three days
• Special event pricing for the purchase of a serger and accessory feet (including trade-ins).
• All you bring is basic sewing supplies.

A taste of what you will learn and do:

• Basics:  How the serger works, thread & needles, working with regular and specialty fabrics
• Threading and use of stitches:  5/4/3/2 thread stitches, rolled hem, flat locking, chair and cover stitches
• Techniques:  Starting and stopping, turning corners, and curves--inside and out, trims and lace, spaghetti straps and ties, zipper applications, cording, perfect piecing, quilt as you go, "shadow" work, pintucks and rouching, lettuce edges, seams finishes (more traditional and decorative), creating your own accent fabric, and much more!
• Decorative threads:  Threading and serging with different weights and types
• Feet and accessories:  Clear foot, elastic foot, piping foot, binders, and others.
